Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
About these terms
These terms govern your use of the Steadmate service provided by Steadmate Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Registered address: [Registered Address Placeholder]. By purchasing a Steadmate subscription you agree to these terms.
The service
Steadmate provides an AI-powered business management service delivered via WhatsApp, SMS and email. The specific features available depend on the subscription tier purchased. We reserve the right to update or improve the service at any time. We will always notify you of any material changes that affect your usage.
Payment and billing
Subscription fees are charged monthly. Billing begins on the date your account goes live — not the date of purchase. Setup fees are charged once at the time of purchase and are non-refundable as they cover work completed before your account goes live. If a payment fails you have 7 days to update your payment details before your account is paused. We use Stripe to process all payments securely.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time with no notice period and no cancellation fee. To cancel, contact us at hello@steadmate.co.uk or via WhatsApp. Your service will remain active until the end of your current billing period. Following cancellation you have 30 days to export your data before it is permanently deleted.
Setup fees and upgrades
Setup fees are non-refundable in all circumstances. If you upgrade your subscription within 12 months of your start date you pay only the difference between setup fees. After 12 months upgrades are free. Downgrading is permitted and takes effect from your next billing date.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Steadmate complies with all applicable laws and regulations, including data protection law. You must not use Steadmate to send unsolicited communications, engage in unlawful activity, or misrepresent your business to customers. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your WhatsApp account and any connected third party accounts.
Our responsibilities
We will provide the service with reasonable care and skill. We monitor the service daily and will notify you promptly of any significant issues. Where issues are caused by third party platforms (including Meta, Google, Twilio or Stripe) we will communicate clearly and work to resolve them as quickly as possible but cannot be held responsible for third party outages or changes to third party services.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Steadmate Ltd's liability to you in connection with the service is limited to the total fees paid by you in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential or loss of profit claims. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Data and privacy
Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy available at steadmate.co.uk/privacy. Where we process personal data on behalf of your business, we act as a data processor and you act as the data controller. We process such data only on your instructions and in accordance with UK GDPR.
Intellectual property
All intellectual property in the Steadmate service, including software, designs and content, belongs to Steadmate Ltd. Your subscription grants you a non-exclusive licence to use the service for your own business purposes. You retain full ownership of all data, content and materials you provide to us.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
